Unit 1 Reading Evidence:
- Use the resources below to help you prepare for the retake of the reading quiz. It will be a new passage with new questions but it will use all the same types of language from Unit 1 and ask questions with the same types of structures.
- There is 1 help session in 203 for the Reading Retake on Mon. 10/10 from 3:30-4:15 but then you can also come for any of the before/after school help sessions as well. See the whiteboard in Rm. 203 for specific days Sra. Moore is available each week.
- The reading retake will be offered after school on two separate dates: Wed. 10/12 AND Thu. 10/27 from 3:30-4:15 p.m.
- You must go through the Request to Retest process in order to retake. All practice assignments from Unit 1 must also be completed to have this opportunity. Your late HW does not count as any of the three activities you need to show you've done in order to retake the quiz. You need all the missing HW AND 3 extra activities. If all your HW is caught up to date, then you only need the 3 extra activities!
Unit 1 Speaking Evidence:
- Thu. 11/3 before school between 7:30 a.m. and 7:55 a.m.
- Fri. 11/4 before school between 7:30 a.m. and 7:55 a.m.
- Thu. 11/10 after school between 3:30-4:00 p.m.
- Fri. 11/11 after school between 3:30-4:00 p.m.
- Use the resources below to help you prepare for the retake of the speaking evidence and to go through the "Request to Retest" process.
- To retake the speaking evidence, you will need to come on one of the dates to retake with your own speaking partner. That student needs to be in a Spanish 1 class (but any section is fine), and they may or may not be retaking as well. If they are not retaking, I will only be grading your performance.
- I will listen to your conversation from start to finish and assess you using the same rubric as the first time.
- The dates & times I'm available for retakes include:
- Thu. 11/3 before school between 7:30 a.m. and 7:55 a.m.

- Practice your conversational skills in Spanish. Use your Day 9 Guided Notes and work with a partner.
- Improve your recognition of the Spanish ABC letter sounds using your pink ABCs sheet or the resources under Day 6 above.

The videos below are all ones Sra. Moore made for her virtual students two years ago when MPS was virtual.
While our class is in-person & some of the things said don't apply in terms of how the class is set up, the vocabulary, concepts and skills are just like the ones we're learning this year! These could help! The one below covers: adjectives (gender & quantity), the questions "What are you like?", "What aren't you like?" Are you funny?", subject pronouns & forms of the verb SER that is needed to describe personalities.
During the virtual school year, the partner conversation speaking evidence did not include likes/dislikes as it does this year. Here are examples of the conversation minus that part! You can't hear Srta. Voith but you only need to pay attention to how I am speaking & the quality of answers I give to get an idea of what you're shooting for in your conversations.
The next 2 videos I didn't make but did use to teach how to talk about likes/dislikes when we had virtual school.
